 Today is Bob's 59th birthday. As we move closer to celebrating his 60th, the Millikan family will be announcing some very special ways we are planning to honor Bob and his life's work. Please stay in touch and we'll keep you posted. Until then, be kind to each other, and when you take a walk in the woods, remember Bob.

What a great photo. Bob was such a special person. Hard to believe he is gone. Keep me posted on what you all are doing to honor his memory.

Thanks for the post Ann. I've just begin dental school at ECU after a few years hiatus since leaving UNC in 2010. I am certain Bob's sage advice and the kind and dedicated example he set for me as a rower have played a part in my arrival here. I have a writing assignment about professionalism this week which requires that I reference a role model/mentor; the first and last person I considered for my submission is Bob!
